Harris Wheeler

Harris M. Wheeler, has been a composer, pianist and musical director for productions in the Atlanta area. He is a graduate of Shorter College in Rome, GA. Mr. Wheeler is presently the Director of Performing Arts at Mount Paran Christian School. He has taught in the Cobb County School System, most recently at McEachern High School. He has sung in the Atlanta Symphony Chorus under the direction of Robert Shaw. He appeared on the “Tonight Show” starring Johnny Carson. For 8 years he served as musical director/pianist for Upstairs At Gene And Gabes where he wrote the music to “Della’s Diner” which played at the Manhattan Theatre Club in New York. He has served as musical director for Six Flags Over Georgia and presently serves as Music Associate at Marietta First Baptist Church. He has recently produced a CD of hymn arrangements for the piano and a Christmas CD. His resides in Marietta and has a son, Harris M. Wheeler, Jr.
