Zachary White has been the conductor of the John McEachern High School Choirs since 2005. A native of Cobb County, and a graduate of South Cobb High School, Mr. White has served as a music educator in Cobb County his entire career.
Mr. White holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, AL. At JSU he served as Student Director of the a Cappella Choir, and Chamber Singers, and was the Graduate Teaching Assistant for the University Choirs, he was also a drum major for the Marching Southerners. Mr. White was cast, written, directed various productions.
In addition to the concert ensembles, Mr. White is director of Con Moto - McEachern's Show Choir. Mr. White's stage direction credits at McEachern Include: Guys and Dolls (2006), Disney's Beauty and the Beast (2007), and Footloose the Musical (2008).
Previous to his appointment at McEachern, Mr. White was the Charter Choral Director at Cooper Middle School in Austell. Mr. White’s choirs have performed at Disney Magic Music Days, The Festival of Trees, Six Flags Over Georgia, The Singing of the National Anthem at the Atlanta Braves Game, The Georgia Governor’s Holiday Mansion Festivities, Universal Studios, and as Governor Perdue’s Guest Performers at a Banquet Honoring the Georgia Assembly.
